Privacy Notice

Respect for your information.

How HELVIA CENTER FOR RESEARCH LTD/GTE handles website enquiries and information.

Who is responsible

HELVIA CENTER FOR RESEARCH LTD/GTE is responsible for the personal information it receives through website-related email enquiries. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@helviaresearch.org.

What the contact form does

The form on this website prepares a draft in your own email application. The draft is addressed to info@helviaresearch.org and includes the information you enter. You review and send it yourself. Form entries are not submitted to or stored by a website application server. You may instead email us directly.

Information in your enquiry

If you send an email, we receive the sender address, the name and optional organisation you supply, the enquiry category, your message and any material you choose to include. Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry and avoid sensitive personal information in an initial message.

Why we use information

We use enquiry information to respond, consider requests for collaboration or support, manage relevant correspondence and meet applicable obligations. For ordinary correspondence, our basis is the legitimate interest in handling enquiries and administering the Centre’s activities, subject to your rights and interests. A different basis, including consent or a legal obligation, may apply where the circumstances require it.

Website delivery and service providers

The website code does not add analytics, advertising trackers or nonessential cookies. The hosting provider may process technical request information, such as network addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the site. Email providers process messages to transmit and host correspondence. Authorised people handling an enquiry may access information relevant to it; information is not published simply because you contact us.

The website is designed for Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare explains its own processing in its privacy policy. Hosting and email services may process information outside Nigeria, depending on their infrastructure and arrangements. Applicable safeguards are required where an international transfer is made.

Keeping information

Enquiry information should be kept only for as long as needed to handle the matter, maintain an appropriate record of the relationship or meet a legal obligation. Relevant factors include whether the enquiry remains open, whether an agreement follows and whether a record must be preserved. Information no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised. Provider-held logs and backups may follow the provider’s retention arrangements.

Your rights and choices

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access, correction or deletion, object to processing, request restriction or portability, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Email info@helviaresearch.org to make a request. We may need sufficient information to verify and act on it. You may also raise a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Scope and updates

This notice concerns this informational website and related enquiries. Research projects involving personal data require their own appropriate information and arrangements. Changes to this notice will be published on this page.
